Iran reclaim Persian Beach Soccer Cup title

Tehran Times - Iran national beach soccer team defended their Persian Cup title on Monday.

Team Melli defeated Spain 4-2 in the final match in Bushehr, south of Iran.

Mohammad Ahmadzadeh scored a hat-trick and Moslem Mesigar was on target once for the Iranian national beach soccer team.

Earlier on the day Ukraine defeated Azerbaijan 4-3 to finish in third place.

Iran national beach soccer team had defeated Azerbaijan 3-2 and Ukraine 6-3 in the competition.

Mohammad Moradi from Iran was named as the Most Valuable Player.

Marco Octavio’s team took part in the tournament with a mix of experienced and young players.

Iran won the title in the first edition which was held with the participation of Poland, Ukraine and Italy.
