Real Madrid superstar defender Sergio Ramos has made the news as he is now in contention to feature in their Champions League semi-final match against Chelsea after returning to full fitness, according to Zinedine Zidane.

The Spanish defender, who succumbed to an injury while on international duty with his country, has been on the sidelines for a month. But he has now returned to full fitness just when the Los Blancos need a catalyst to turn the tables on tables in their favour at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, which will be covered with odds from best Australian online casinos.

Speaking to the reporters at a press conference on Friday, Real Madrid manager, Zidane said: "[Ramos] is training with us and that means he's able to play too.
"We'll see what we do when we name the squad, but Sergio is fit and ready to play."

To play it safe, the Spanish defender has not been included in the squad that will be facing Osasuna on Saturday. The 35-year-old defender has always been pivotal in the heart of Madrid's defence, and his absence in the team has shown significantly having battled against a calf injury as well as testing positive for Covid-19.

The Santiago Bernabeu outfit has drawn four of their last five games in all competitions and will they will need to score at least once to remain hopeful for their Champions League dreams in the second leg following their 1-1 draw by Chelsea in the first leg of the round.

The veteran defender is not only known for his leadership and defensive skills in the Madrid team, but also his talent for finding the back of the net, as he has scored 128 goals for both club and country in his professional career - which made him one of the most prolific defenders in the history of football.

Ramos also had the knack for scoring goals when it matters the most for Real Madrid, having shown his scoring prowess in 2013/14 and 2015/16 Champions League finals against Atletico Madrid.

Elsewhere, Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has also made the news to drop an update on former Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who remains unavailable for the second leg of the semi-final, and odds will be covered by online slots Canada.

Asked during his press conference on Friday if Kovacic will return to the team, Tuchel said: "No, unfortunately not, he is still injured. He trained with us, but he's still not fully confident, he felt something at the end of training. So he's not available, unfortunately.

"All the others are available except for Toni Rudiger, who got injured in the last minute of the Madrid game. Everybody else is available."

When asked if the players are doubts about their Madrid clash on Wednesday, Tuchel said: "Yeah, for sure. Before training today we thought that Kova had a big chance to join us latest for Madrid, maybe even for today. So now we have a little setback, not a big one, with him.

"I don't want to be too negative, let's see how he is tomorrow. For Toni, I'm quite positive for Wednesday."
